About the Book

Shane Riley yanked his wet Levis out of a grimy washing machine, one of twenty or so in a Laundromat straight out of 1992.

I saw this novel showcased on a blogsite this week and grabbed it off of Kindle Unlimited ASAP. The premise sounds excellent, and the reviews make this book sound like a book I just have to read. Now, I just need to find the time to read it! Hopefully, I can get to this one soon.

NOW IT IS YOUR TURN!

GRAB THE BOOK YOU ARE CURRENTLY READING, OPEN TO CHAPTER ONE, AND POST THE FIRST SENTENCE (OR SECOND SENTENCE) IN THE COMMENTS BELOW.

THEN HEAD ON OVER TO HOARDING BOOKS TO SEE ALL OF THE FLF PAGES THIS WEEK (JUST CLICK ON THE FLF BUTTON BELOW).

  2. Happy Friday!

When He Found Me sounds excellent! I may have to grab this one as well 🙂

This week on my blog I’m sharing the first line from Mandi Blake’s upcoming release All The Stars:

“Leah shifted onto her side under the kitchen sink and scratched her neck.”

Have a great rest of your weekend 🙂

  3. *gasp* straight out of 1992 hmm? I had to laugh because to me that wasn’t that long ago! LOL!
I did appreciate the descriptive first line, and I admit that at the “grimy washing machine” part I thought, “ewww… those jeans didn’t get clean!” I look forward to reading your review! 🙂

      1. I was 15 and doing my own laundry, LOL! In 2006 when my husband and I bought our house, it came with a washing machine from the early 80’s and a pea-green dryer from the early 70’s. Both worked well for several more years. They just don’t make things that well anymore!

  4. Officer Kaylin Poirer’s stomach lurched at the sight of the two people inside a white florist van that pulled up to her booth at the Windsor-Detroit border. The driver wouldn’t meet her gaze and his passenger couldn’t sit still.

  6. That sounds like a good one! Enjoy! 🙂

Today on my blog I’m featuring One Little Lie by Colleen Coble. I just finished Being Known by Robin Jones Gunn, so I’ll share the first lines here: “ Whenever I close my eyes and think of my mother, I see her red toenails. Her perfectly manicured toes flaunting her signature nail-polish color, Oh My, Cherry Pie.”

    Have a great weekend! 😊

  7. Happy Weekend! My first line (actually 2 lines) is from “Draw Me to Your Side” by Marguerite Martin Gray:

“Closing her eyes for a brief respite, Elizabeth dozed in the afternoon sun peeking through the frosty windowpanes. The image of a coiled, ferocious rattlesnake fought its way behind eyelids seemingly glued together.”
