His Encouragement #117

Welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:

Psalm 37:7 (ESV)

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

FACTS

  • God sees everything.
  • God hears everything.
  • God knows everything that has happened, is happening, or ever will happen.
  • God has a plan and He is in control.
  • No one gets away with anything (for long).

We are instructed by God to BE STILL. We are instructed to wait patiently on God. Why? Because He is the Boss.

We are also told NOT to fret. When we see people awarded and promoted when they really don’t deserve it, we are told not to fret. When we see evil playing out, we are told not to fret. Why are we told not to fret? Because God is the Boss.

Bottom line — God is the Boss all the time. He sees and hears all the things that are bothering you. He knows. All you need to do is wait patiently for God to do what He has planned. God’s got you!!! Don’t forget that.

NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!

WHAT BIBLICAL VERSE IS ENCOURAGING YOU TODAY?
