Good morning, and welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:

Psalm 28:7 (ESV)
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped;
my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

God provided my best friend with a miracle this week! I’m talking a real, HUGE, only-God-could-do-it kind of miracle. The kind of miracle you read about in the Bible.

No words I say or type will ever be enough to express how awesome God is or how truly grateful I am.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield…”

I have been praying desperately for my best friend for over two years straight. My daily prayer was, and indefinitely will be, that she will run to the Lord always so that He can be her strength and shield. Every day for over two years, I begged God to give her the strength to walk this path He set before her. And He granted my heart’s cry!

“In Him my heart trusts, and I am helped…”

Our God is the God of miracles and healing. I believe with my whole being that God is capable of anything. Doctors can give the worst news ever, the scariest prognosis possible, BUT GOD can still heal. He can perform a miracle anytime. In this, my mustard-seed faith can move mountains. I will never stop believing in God’s healing powers and His ability to do miracles. My best friend’s miracle this week solidified my utmost faith in Jesus Christ! And, I pray this miracle solidified her faith as well!!!

“My heart exalts, and with my song I give thanks to Him…”

I am not a singer. I love to sing, but I absolutely cannot do it well. Instead, I have this blog. And it gets to a lot of places around the world. My “song” today is to shout out as loud and as far as my blog can go that God is good ALL the time. He is more powerful than anything we can fathom. His faithfulness truly endures forever. And, His love for His kids is beyond words. God is worthy of ALL praise and honor and worship. He is AMAZING!!!

I am not comfortable sharing her news online but suffice to say my bestie has been delivered from something doctors didn’t think she could be saved from. BUT GOD! God saved her life. And, I will be grateful to Him for this miracle all the rest of my days.

God hears His kids’ prayers. Make Him your shield and strength today!
