  1. I am reading THE PROMISE OF TOMORROW by Mary Ellen Taylor: “Running away from home never got easy.” It is written by a secular author but has a lot of spiritual truth in it.

  2. A perfectly adequate first line. I’m reading a nonfiction book, Knowing Our Savior, by a friend, J.V. Lewis. The first line is rather perfunctory: “At the end of Peter’s second letter, he admonishes us to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Then he dives deep. It’s a highly intellectual book that will take me a while to read!

      1. Can’t put it down. I want to read the other books in the series also: Authentically, Izzy and Positively, Penelope.
