Thursday Encouragement

Thursday Encouragement #123

wp-1586385665204.jpgWelcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:

Numbers 28:16-18 (God’s Word Translation)

The fourteenth day of the first month is the Lord’s Passover. The fifteenth of this same month is a pilgrimage festival. For seven days you must eat only unleavened bread. On the first day there will be a holy assembly. Don’t do any regular work.

Here is a cool fact about Passover this year:

“Over 3500 years ago the Lord commanded the Israelites in Egypt, ‘None of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning…(Exodus 12)’ [Today] is the first Passover since the first one that we are commanded to do the same” (Pastor Amir Tsarfati).

Here is another cool fact about this year’s Passover:

Nissan 14-Nissan 21 of Moses’s time, when he commanded the Israelites to stay inside and then they all fled Egypt, falls on the same calendar days as our Passover period this year.

Isn’t this amazing?!

This proves to me that God is the BOSS and He has a plan.

All this COVID-19 stuff has been annoying, frustrating, frightening, traumatic, and boring, but it’s all been for a purpose. For the first time since the very first Passover, we are commanded to stay in our houses during this Passover.

I don’t know what exactly it all means, but I know for a fact that Passover this year is a BIG deal to God. Definitely worthy of getting into our Bibles and spending some quality time with Him today.

To all my friends who celebrate Passover, may your Passover this year be a tremendous blessing to you, your friends, and your loved ones.

NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!

WHAT BIBLICAL VERSE IS ENCOURAGING YOU TODAY?

  1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and this lesson. It’s definitely something to ponder as times change–hopefully for the better after this plague of a virus passes.
