About the Book

Julia Jenkins was a glass-half-full person.

Well, most of the time.

Even with her sordid backstory.

I am already into chapter 8 and I am LOVING this story. The characters are SO well written I feel like I personally know them. And, I am totally rooting for Julia and Henry. They are so darn cute!

Check back soon for my review of this book. 🙂

  1. I’m sharing from The End Begins by Sara Davison, book one of The Seven Trilogy:

Meryn didn’t move until a loud thud and a shout from upstairs yanked her from her stunned silence. “We need to get out now.”

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. I’m reading this book as well. Very good so far. Here’s the first line from Lethal Target by Janice Cantore. “The dream was always so vivid for to Tess.” Have a great Friday!

  3. “Woo-hoo! Go get ‘em cowboy!”
Emma Maxwell Norman pushed a stroller with her two-year-old twin daughters closer to the Big Heart Ranch main corral, where hoots and hollers of excitement filled the air.

  4. I love the cover. Thanks for sharing!

My first line comes from The Christmas Heirloom (4 different authors)
    Lancashire, England (Christmas~1827)

From a purely rational standpoint, Sarah Gooding should have been ecstatic with her present position.

    1. I love the cover too! Roseanna M. White actually designed the cover for Pepper Basham. I think that is SO cool.
Thank you for sharing your first line. I actually just got that book. I hope to read it soon. Hope your weekend has been amazing!

  5. This one is next up on my list to read, and I can’t wait!!
Over on my blog, I’m sharing the first line from Mary Connealy’s newest book “The Reluctant Warrior”. Here I’ll share the first line from chapter 20 of the same book.
“What harebrained decision had caused John to come west working for the Chiltons?”

  6. Happy Friday!

My first lines come from the book It Started With Christmas by Jenny Hale…..

“I want to spend Christmas at the cabin.” Nana’s voice came from the dark stairway, startling Holly McAdams and making her jump as she walked in the front door, the warmth of the little house a stark contrast to the icy cold outside.

Have an awesome weekend and happy reading!😊🎃💕

  7. My first line is from Chapter 8 of Murder of Convenience by Linda Henton Matchett:

“Police. Open up. “ Heavy pounding shook Geneva’s door.

Looking forward to reading Pepper’s book!
