The Pigeon Wants a Puppy is a 5-STAR book for sure. I love this book because the pigeon wants a puppy so badly, and that is just a really silly idea. I like this book because the pigeon is silly, and he makes me laugh. He wants some odd things for a pigeon — things you wouldn’t expect a bird to want. I think that all kids should read this book because it is a good book to use to practice reading skills, and it will cause kids to laugh. It’s also a good book to read with mommies and daddies because it will make them laugh too!

Oh, Bella, that is a funny book. I could just see the pigeon! You did a fantastic job with your inflections and excitement. Sometimes I was just a little fearful, like when the pigeon saw the teeth!! Other times I laughed, like when the puppy slobbered on the pigeon!
Do you think he ever rode piggyback on the puppy’s back?
