This is not an easy question to answer. I am a lover of story. Naturally, I am drawn to books, TV, and film. I have dyslexia, so reading is work. I am also a mood reader…I have to be in the mood to work as hard as I do to read. I love reading, but it’s not always easy for me. I am also a child of the 80s, so watching TV is my default setting. LOL! If I have to choose one option, I’m going to pick favorite TV/film because I get the same great story, but I don’t have to work as hard as I do reading. Perhaps I would feel differently if I could see what I read, but I can’t, so I choose favorite TV/film.

Honestly, these days, TV or movie, too. My brain is so cluttered these days that watching TV or a movie can be brainless, whereas reading takes more of my mind than I sometimes have to give.
