Top Ten Tuesday #6

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!

hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post. This week’s topic is Love/Valentine’s Day Freebie, so I am going to share some of my most favorite Historical Romance novels.

Love’s Awakening by Laura Frantz is my all-time favorite Historical Romance. I highly, highly recommend this novel if you have not yet read it!

The Mistletoe Countess by Pepper Basham is my #2, all-time favorite Historical Romance. This book does what I always hope Romance novels will do…let the characters actually fall in love early enough in the storyline so that the reader can see life after the romance. This book is excellent. If you have not yet read it, read it ASAP!

The Captain’s Confidant by Ashtyn Newbold is outstanding. The inability for the main character to be with the man she loves produces some of the best romantic tension I’ve ever read. This was a book I read very quickly and loved immediately. If you have not read this book, put it on your TBR now!

The Bachelor and the Bride by Sarah M. Eden is such a good book. I have enjoyed every book in this series, but this book is my favorite. Again, this is a book I highly recommend adding to your TBR immediately if you have not already read it.

Lady Maybe by Julie Klassen is an exquisite romance. This is my #1 favorite Klassen novel. I highly recommend this book if you have not read it. It is mysterious and steamy and heartbreaking. I loved it!

Sand Creek Serenade by Jennifer Uhlarik is a really great Western Romance. It made me nostalgic for Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. I loved every minute, and if you have not read this book I recommend adding it to your TBR today!

The Elusive Miss Ellison by Carolyn Miller is such a good Regency Romance. In fact, the entire series is excellent. I definitely recommend this book if you love a good Regency Romance.

Love Amid the Ashes by Mesu Andrews is one of the best stories ever. It’s the tale of Job and Dinah (as in the daughter of Jacob who was raped as a young girl). This book is a sweeping Romance that showcases two very hurting people who find their way to one another. It’s AMAZING and I highly recommend this read if you have not yet read it.

A Beauty So Rare by Tamera Alexander is one of my favorites of Alexander’s novels. This book is so good. I highly recommend it if you are in the mood for a well-written, well-researched Historical Romance that will grip your heart.

The Reluctant Duchess by Roseanna M. White is a Historical Romance that is so good and so raw and so beautiful I still remember it vividly even though I read it seven years ago. This book is perfection and I highly recommend it if you have not yet read it. This is not a book to miss!

What are some Historical Romances you absolutely adore?

  1. Hope Between the Pages by Pepper Basham would make my list. I also loved the Mistletoe Countess. Several of these are new to me. Some of Jen Turano’s, and Amanda Wen’s books would make my list too 🙂

  2. I love all of Sarah Sundin’s books and never miss one. I am told that there are others I should try and you have a nice selection here. These covers could be posters on the wall or framed prints.
