This week, I am featuring:

Jaded

Mended Hearts #1

Jaded by Varina Denman is an absolutely brilliant novel. My emotions were all over the place…and, I had to check my heart often. This story got me thinking a lot about my personal issues, how well I’m willing to forgive others, and what I know I need to do to be a better girl after God’s own heart. If you have not read this book yet, I highly recommend that you find a copy today. It’s an excellent read!

About the Book

Ruthie Turner resents the Christians in her small Texas town, but when she falls for the new preacher, she must release her bitterness…and learn to love. On the surface, nothing seems to change in this dull town-yet God always works beneath the surface.

NOW IT’S YOUR TURN!

Share a book you’ve read in the past and explain briefly why it’s so memorable to you in the comments below.

  1. Sounds like a great book. I love this feature and books that stick! I’m still thinking about Then There Was You from Kara Isaac. I needed a switch in genres and this one (the audiobook) was completely unputdownable. I hated that it ended. Its resonance wasn’t personal or soul-searching–just touched me with a story I just sunk so deep into that it refreshed me.
