His Encouragement #82

Good morning, and welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:

Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

This week I don’t feel like I have much strength.

I wasn’t feeling well this past weekend and by Tuesday I knew I needed to see a doctor. I went to our local urgent care and the doc told me that I have a viral infection. It’s hurting my head and lungs. Because it is viral, there is nothing that I can take aside from Tylenol to help reduce fever and pain. I just have to suffer through the virus.

I have to admit that I wasn’t really feeling today’s post. Mostly because scrounging the necessary energy to write this post was more than I could handle. BUT GOD!

God sent me to one of my most favorite books in the Bible for today’s encouragement — Isaiah — and to one of my most favorite verses in all the Bible — 40:31. I love this verse. My favorite part of this verse this read is that God renews our strength. What I like so much about this concept is that God knows we will need renewing. He knows sometimes life on this earth will be too much. He knows that we will fall into a slump or we will get sick. He knows this and has made a plan to help us. God will always be there for us to come to Him so we can be RENEWED. All we have to do is wait on Him.

I don’t know about you, but to me, I really needed the reminder this week to go back to God to recharge. He will renew my strength!

Go to God today. He will renew your strength too!

NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!

WHAT BIBLICAL VERSE IS ENCOURAGING YOU TODAY?
