Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post. This week’s topic is Books for People Who Liked Author X. I have to admit that I am SO bad at this type of list. I have a not-so-great memory due to a traumatic brain injury I suffered 11 years ago and don’t often remember the books I’ve read. I know. That’s crazy, right? The trauma occurred in the short-term memory part of my brain, so I can remember old memories like family outings when I was a kid, or favorite day at school when I was a teen, meeting my husband, etc., but I have a really hard time remembering things from after the injury. It’s why I have to have a set seating chart for all my classes, so I can remember my students’ names. And I truly love reading, but recalling details from something I read the night before is really hard for me. BUT, I will do my best with this post.
If you like Contemporary Romances, try these OUTSTANDING and SWOONY series:
- For Love and Rock series by Emily C. Childs
- The Vegas Kings series by Emily C. Childs
- The Love Cliches series by Emma St. Clair
- A Misty River Romance series by Becky Wade
- Riverbend series by Denise Hunter
If you like Historical Romances, try these AMAZINGLY GOOD series:
- The Ballantyne Legacy series by Laura Frantz
- The Orphan Train series by Jody Hedlund
- The Windy City Saga series by Jocelyn Green
- Ladies of the Manor series by Roseanna M. White
- Hawthorne House series by Kristi Ann Hunter
I would recommend Heidi Elijarbo’s historical fiction. The books are amazingly well researched and include a lot of extra details about art.

Thank you for the recommendation, Vickie. I will have to check Elijarbo’s books out.

You are NOT bad at this, you did a great job! I just went in a different direction because, after 15 minutes of struggling, I gave up. I have not read Emily C. Childs or Kristi Ann Hunter (although she is on my radar!). I will have to look up Emily, thanks for the suggestions.

Haha! I love that! I have some authors I’ve felt that way about as well.

Wow! A TBI would be a horrible thing to experience. I’m glad you’ve found ways to adjust to the memory issues it has caused. I have a terrible memory and I haven’t suffered anything like that!
Happy TTT!
