Her phone dinged with another pop-up about last month’s murder of actress Whitney Warren and the failure of security expert Brett Harmon to keep the celebrity safe.”~Texas Ranch Target by Virginia Vaughan (LIS)

It was a really good story. I’m not generally a mystery gal myself, but I loved it!

I didn’t realize it was a mystery until I went to Goodreads. Thought it was a regular historical fiction. Mysteries are one of my main go-tos. Definitely on my list now!

My first line this week comes from Forged in Live by Mary Connealy:
August 1870. Pine Valley, Wyoming
A bullet slammed into the side of the stagecoach carrying Mariah Stover, her pa, and her older brother.

This cover is so cool! I’m reading Yosemite Firestorm by Tanya Stowe. The first line is: “Olivia Chatham pulled her ranger Jeep into the parking lot of the hiking trail near Yosemite’s Tuolumne Meadows and groaned.”
