  1. I just got the third book in Hallee Bridgeman’s “Love and Honor” Series. HONOR’S REFUGE promises to be a fascinating read! First lines: “Missy huddled with three-year-old Lola between the nightstand and the bed, praying her little sister would stay asleep. Her father’s fist hit her mother’s face with a sickening thud, and Missy’s stomach rolled.”

  2. I’ll have to try that author. That male model turns up in a lot of covers!
My first line comes from Within These Gilded Halls by Abigail Wilson.
    Southern England, 1819
    Hunting the treasure without me?
    A fascinating book!
