His Encouragement #179

Welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

Ecclesiastes 11:5 (ESV)

I have nothing profound to say about Ecclesiastes 11:5. I just really like this verse. It’s one of those verses that makes me consider and reflect on God’s awesomeness.

This verse makes me think on the many other verses throughout the Bible that prove that God’s ways are bigger and better and different than our human ways. Verses like Isaiah 55:8-9: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Or like Job 11:7: “Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?”

Yes, we humans are little and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. But we matter so much to God, our Creator. He knitted us in our mothers’ wombs. He always cares about our daily needs. He truly desires having a relationship with us. God, the Creator of EVERYTHING, wants a relationship with us. Isn’t that amazing?! But we have to do a little work ourselves. We have to seek God. In Jeremiah 29:13-14a, we are told, “‘You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord.”

God’s works are bigger than we can comprehend. His ability to create is beyond our ken. God is a master strategist and planner. Yes, He was, is, and always will be above us. BUT in the end, all God wants is a relationship. He wants us to seek Him with our whole hearts. And when we do, we find Him. I think that is truly amazing.

NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!

WHAT BIBLICAL VERSE IS ENCOURAGING YOU TODAY?
