What an enticing first line! I just started THE OTHER FAMILY by Wendi Corsi Staub. “The Howell family moves into 104 Glover Street in Brooklyn the Friday before Labor Day.” It is not Christian fiction so I’m not sure about recommending it, but it does have an interesting beginning.

From When the Day Comes by Gabrielle Meyer:
For as long as I could remember, my mama had told me that my life was a gift. But at the age of nineteen, I had yet to see how this life I was living – or rather, the lives I was living – could be anything other than a burden.
Happy Mother’s Day, Nicole!

I’m excited to read this one! I’m just starting Wildfire Threat by Cathy McDavid: “Aden Whitley stepped out of his truck and into a cloud of smoke thick and heavy enough to fell a man twice his size.”
Happy Weekend!
