Welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105 (ESV)
I absolutely LOVE Psalm 119:105. God’s Word 100% is a lamp that guides my feet every day. It is the Light to my every-day path. I hate when I miss a day of Bible study. At this point in my life, I NEED God’s Word and time with Him every day. I need God and time with Him like I need oxygen.
I have a confession to make. I have a large Bible collection. Each Bible is a different translation and serves a different function. Some of the Bibles are journaling Bibles. Some are Bibles-in-a-Year. And some are study Bibles. Most all of my Bibles are covered in highlight marks and underline marks and have tons of notes in the side margins and prayers, too. I am a BIG annotator. I feel like my notes and prayers in the margins are my way of talking a little more deeply with Jesus.
Another confession…I am always looking for my next Bible to purchase. Because I write so much and mark so much in my Bibles, I have to constantly replace them at the beginning of each New Year. This year, I found the coolest New Testament and I LOVE it so much. It’s called the Spiral Bible and I cannot recommend this Bible enough. It is the perfect Bible for those who love to annotate.
As you can see from the slideshow images above, the Spiral Bible is AWESOME. There’s so much space to take notes. I love that I can use this Bible like a notebook. I can get closer to the text. I don’t have to worry about breaking my Bible’s spine. And I can highlight without stressing that the color will bleed through the page. I have been using a ball-point pen to write my notes, but I could easily use a felt-tip pen, a gel pen, or a marker and I wouldn’t worry about ink bleeding through the page. I seriously dig the versatility. I am not very good at the traditional journaling method of Bible study, but if I were I wouldn’t be afraid to use markers and calligraphy pens on the paper in this Bible.
I purchased the pink World English Translation Spiral Bible and I love the translation. I have never heard of this translation before, but I really like it. In case you are a KJV-only fan, the good people at Spiral Bible also have a pink and blue KJV New Testament Bible. And they have a really cool Genesis Spiral Bible for kids.
My one and only complaint is that Spiral Bible doesn’t come in any other books … yet. I am really praying that they are super successful with their New Testament Bibles so they can branch out to other books, and dare I hope, to printing full-length Bibles. I would purchase a full-length Spiral Bible in a heartbeat. Hopefully, one day soon!
If you are like me and you love purchasing new Bibles, you love annotating, and you really feel like God’s Word is a lamp to your feet, then I highly recommend checking out the Spiral Bible. It could be a really cool addition to your Bible collection, and a really awesome way to continue to study God’s Word!
What do you think? Would you love a Spiral Bible?
The spiral Bible looks awesome! My husband writes very tiny notes in his Bible all the time, so I think he would love one.

This is SO fun! Thanks for sharing Nicole! I have the My Creative Bible which I Love! Never knew I’d be into coloring. 😉 But it’s pages are thin so I have to be careful of what kind of highlighter I use. Look forward to having my own Spiral Bible! 🙂
