My Thoughts

I’m going to be 100% honest — I purchased Wildwood Lodge by Jennifer Griffith on impulse because I LOVE the cover. I didn’t even read the book summary to see if I would appreciate the topic. And, I don’t even know who Jennifer Griffith is. But the cover … it spoke to my soul. I would love nothing more right now than to escape to a winter hideaway that is as gorgeous as the lodge on this cover. And, in the vein of honesty, I should have been reading a different book for review purposes, but the siren call of Wildwood Lodge was just too much to resist! Boy, am I super glad I purchased this book — it is a super engaging, super sweet read that got me totally into the Christmas spirit. The characters are excellently written. I love Jayne so much, and Ben Bellamy is one swoony hero! I love how he always thinks a step ahead of Jayne and anticipates her needs. So sweet! And the chemistry between them is perfection. My only criticism is that this book is too short. I felt that the last couple of chapters and the epilogue are rushed and feel slightly unrealistic. But, overall, this book is a gem that I am SO glad I found. I’m definitely reading the next book in the series and I will make sure to check out all of Ms. Griffith’s books. If you are in the mood for a delightful Christmas read that’s sweet, Romantic, and engaging definitely check out Wildwood Lodge today.
