Thursday Encouragement #146

Welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement:

Do not participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them.

Ephesians 5:11 CSB
YouVersion Bible app, ESV translation

Do not participate in the fruitless works of darkness … sounds reasonable, right? Then why do so many people scream at those doing the exposing? It’s right here in God’s Word — EXPOSE DARK WORKS.

I expect those who do not believe in God to get mad at those doing the exposing, but Christians?! Christians getting mad because evil is being exposed?! It’s insanity, but Christians are becoming one of the largest groups who support evil practices and then scream at those who say, “Hey, maybe research a little into what that practice entails. It’s pretty opposite of God.”

This world has become DARK. It is soul-sucking and demoralizing. Maybe less so in states where they treat humans like people, but in the great state of CA, it’s rotten here to its core. Fear is everywhere. People LOVE hate and discord and division. No one is allowed a voice anymore. No one is allowed a different opinion. It feels like the days of baby Moses where neighbors turned on neighbors. It’s pretty exhausting to be honest.

At this point, you may be saying, “Whoa! This post is dark,” and you would be correct. This post is dark. We live in dark times, which is why is it imperative that our lights shine even more brightly. Those of us who believe in Yahweh, who believe Yeshua (Jesus) is our Lord and Savior, and who believe that the ENTIRE Bible is the infallible Word of God MUST shine brighter than ever before and we must continue to expose the darkness. We must be in God’s Word daily fortifying our armor. And, when we see lies we MUST expose them as lies and share the TRUTH … even if it means our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ scream the loudest at us.

Don’t be discouraged! I know it is tough right now for a lot of people, but we must keep running the race! God put us here for a reason. Remember that and continue in His works. The reward is everything — eternity with Christ!

NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!
