I was feeling fine, better than fine. I was riding high. My TV show, Josie’s Antiques, had been renewed for the fifth season, and Ty and I had just closed on the house of my dreams. What a way to start a Monday.

That seems right, lol! Now interesting that you are the 2nd person in this meme featuring the same book, but your “first lines” don’t match, funny
Mine is here: https://francebooktours.com/2021/01/29/loving-modigliani-first-line-fridays/

Lol! I think because one chose from the prologue. I chose my first line from chapter 1. 🤷♀️
Thank you for sharing! I will make sure to check out your post asap. Have a great weekend. 🙂

Ah I understand. Actually, I sometimes hesitate myself. Technically the prologue is the beginning if the book, but sometimes the first line of chapter 1 is much better

I’ll be totally honest, I felt chapter 1 made more sense to post as a FLF post. 😀

Happy Friday!!
Over on my blog I am sharing the first line from The Hesitant Heiress by Dawn Crandall.
“Miss Brigham, may I have a word with you?” Professor Silvious strolled down the aisle toward the stage of the Boston Conservatory of Music’s auditorium.

Wow, sounds like the worry of parenting hasn’t changed much since the 1800s! 🙂 And what a beautiful cover — I’ve heard good things about her books.
You saw my first line over on my blog, from The Story Peddler by Lindsay A. Franklin: “Colored ribbons of light poured from my fingers.”

I loved Shadows!
My first line is from The Vanishing at Loxby Manor by Abigail Wilson:
I knew something was terribly wrong the moment I stepped foot back inside Loxby Manor- the pervasive restlessness of the servants, the strained silence of the front room.
