My Thoughts

I’m a very particular person when it comes to devotionals, and set-up is part of my pickiness. I Am is a 30-day devotional where each day focuses on a particular Name and characteristic of God. Each chapter begins with a Name of God, a quote from the Bible, a FANTASTIC devotional that illustrates that day’s Name and characteristic as it applies to God’s children, and then a lovely prayer based on the devotional topic. A single day takes as long as it takes a reader to read 2-3 pages and pray. For me, a single day’s devotional took me roughly 5-10 minutes to read, reflect, and pray through (I get pretty gabby with Jesus).

For me, the set up in this devotional is perfect. I enjoyed seeing a different unique aspect to God every day. The devotional content is superb. It’s honest. It’s emotional. And, it’s SO hope-filled. And, I really appreciated the prayers at the end of each day. For me, the prayers are good stems that launched me into my own conversations with Jesus. I found that I drew closer to Jesus based on the topic of the given day. After finishing this devotional, I’m left loving Jesus SO much more because He truly is so awe-inspiring and amazing. All that He does for us every day is mind blowing.

I Am is an outstanding devotional that I HIGHLY recommend. It’s so good, I’m going to start it all over and read through it again. There is just so many nuggets of awesome truth and hope in this devotional. If you are looking for a really good devotional full of substance and hope, I Am by Michelle Keener is the devotional for you!

I purchased a copy of this novel in eBook form from Amazon.com on June 17, 2020, in order to review. In no way has this influenced my review. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.
