Welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.
Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!
Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:
1 Chronicles 16:11 (ESV)
Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually.
I’m reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:10: For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The point Paul is making is that when we are weak we have to go to God for His strength. God’s strength NEVER weakens. So, Paul is content with weakness because it means he will lean on God. Leaning on God means we are close to Him. What better place to be than close to God?!
Are you tired, dear reader? I sure am.
Today, seek the Lord. Lean on Him. He’s got you!
NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!
WHAT BIBLICAL VERSE IS ENCOURAGING YOU TODAY?

I needed this today. As I went through my news feeds, I came across many stories that broke my heart. Today, I read story after story, and saw several videos of families who are scared, hurting, and/or fighting for life. Their cries for help and hope made me feel weak and helpless… I could nothing for them. The only thing I could do is turn to GOD in tearful prayer and ask HIM to be their Hope and Strength. It is also my hope and prayer that when/if I ever find myself in such fearful and heartbreaking situations, I will turn to GOD for my Hope and Strength.
Thank you for always sharing such timely posts.

Aw! You’re welcome. The news is getting harder and harder to handle. Go to God. It’s the best we can do.
