The Earl’s Betrothal
by Karen Tuft
About the Book
The room was as silent as a tomb. Amelia Clarke handed the week’s menu to Lady Ashworth, who sat quietly in a chair, watching the Marquess of Ashworth sleep.
I saw this book showcased on one of the blogs that I follow and decided I needed to read it ASAP. I love Regency novels so much, and really need to escape into one right now. I am completely unfamiliar with Karen Tuft’s novels, but I’m just starting chapter 3 and I am really digging her writing style. Definitely check back soon for my full review!
NOW IT IS YOUR TURN!

I shared Echoes among The Stones by Jaime Jo Wright on my blog. Here I will share a book near the top of my TBR — Seconds to Live by Susan Sleeman. “One mistake. That was all it took to put Dustee’s life on the line — death right on her heels.”
Have a wonderful weekend!

I also love Regency Romances. I’ll have to check this one out. On my blog, I’m sharing a Regency Romance Christmas novel: A Rule for Christmas by Kate Harper. Here I’ll share the first line in Chapter 3 of that same book. “Jemima was prepared to allow that her interview with Lord Rule could have gone better than it did.”

There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home,
True enough, but maybe the correct quote would be “You Can’t go home again.”

Today I’m sharing the first lines from Courage to See: Daily Inspiration from Great Literature by Greg Garrett and Sabrina Fountain: “When I was a child, I wanted to sleep with my books, something my mom wouldn’t allow because I slept on the top bunk, and she didn’t want them falling down and hitting my sister.”

This week on my blog I shared the first lines from the novella collection Sew in Love but I’m currently reading Seconds to Live. I’ll share the first line from chapter 3 here: “In a warm robe, her fingers pink and wrinkled from the hour spent in the tub, Taylor grabbed her phone and studied the missed call.” Hope you have a great weekend!
