Welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.
Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!
Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:
Hebrews 7:25 (ESV)
Consequently, He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Jesus Christ is our perfect, eternal High Priest. His sacrifice on the cross made it possible for us to be saved at any time and in any place. No matter how we feel, IF we go to God, Jesus will intercede on our behalf. We don’t need to say a special prayer. We don’t need to make a particular sacrifice, attend a specific church, or tithe a certain amount. IF we go to God, Jesus will intercede. In fact, according to Hebrews 7:25, it’s Jesus’s passion. He lives to intervene on our behalf. How amazing is that?!
Dear reader, do you feel like you’re not good enough to go to God? Do you feel unworthy? Do you feel too insignificant? Stress not! Just cry out to God. Jesus loves you and is willing to do whatever it takes to draw you closer to Him.
NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!
WHAT BIBLICAL VERSE IS ENCOURAGING YOU TODAY?

Amen! I love this! This reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend a while back. She asked for me to pray for her because she felt I had an “in” with God and maybe he’d listen to me but there was no reason for Him to listen to her because she didn’t even know what to say. Another co-worker of mine in the past said something similar to me on several occasions. I think sometimes we complicate our prayers so much that it makes God seem “out of reach” for others instead of showing them that God wants to have a relationship with them too and it’s not the “wordiness” of their prayers that He cares about but the heart calling out to him ❤

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”
Psalms 40:1-4 KJV
Excellent post! These scriptures were shared with me today so I thought I’d share them with you! Kind of goes along with the post.
