His Encouragement #95

PhotoCollage_20190717_185524616.jpgWelcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:

Psalm 150:2 (ESV)

Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

This week, my encouragement is simple: praise God!

In our lifetimes, on this earth, there is A LOT that can distract us, disappoint us, discourage us, and make us forget about God. What amazes me is how easy it is to get off God’s track. We can blink and, ‘BAM,’ we’re headed down the wrong path!

But even in that, God is AMAZING. Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) tells us that “the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” If we get off track, which we will, it’s OK because God loves us anyway. Every day is a new slate to Him. Nothing is too big for God to handle including our sins and mistakes. He loves us steadfastly. Isn’t that glorious, and worthy of praise?!

My friend, life is hard right now. The world has lost its mind. BUT, we serve a good, good Father. Praise Him for His mighty deeds today. At the very least it will help you focus your mind on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable as Paul explains in Philippians 4:8.

NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!

WHAT BIBLICAL VERSE IS ENCOURAGING YOU TODAY?

  1. Needed these this morning, especially Lamentations. It’s been an rough day helping care for my grandmother with dementia, and I needed the reminder that God’s mercies are still flowing in my life even when life turns ugly. Thank you for sharing!
