About the Book

Off the coast of the Bahamas, Present Day

There was no turning back.

I’m currently on a mission — to read the entire Carrington series this month. The fourth, and final, installment, With You Here, releases on September 23, 2019. I’m not sure I can make it by the end of the month, but I am one determined woman!

I’m about 45% finished with Finders Keepers, and I am loving it. Check back soon for my full review!

  1. I’ve read all of them except this one! I need to circle back to it soon. Enjoy the series.

I’m sharing the first line from One Final Breath at my blog but right now I’m reading WayFarer by Janalyn Voigt, so I’ll share that line first line with you. An indrawn breath alerted Kai.

    Have a fantastic weekend!

  2. “On the day of the atrocity, Susan Shepherd was working in a pigeon loft, sprinkling feed—a mixture of sorghum, wheat and field peas—into a long metal tray.” From THE LONG FLIGHT HOME by Alan Hlad

  4. On my blog today, I am featuring a nonfiction, Leveling the Praying Field by Donna L. Barrett. Since it’s my current read, I will share the first line in Chapter 4 here: When circumstances turn out the way a person asked in prayer, they’ll often say, “Prayer works.” Think of prayer as a telephone, a communication device. What really matters is who is on the other end of the line.

I hope you will have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Can’t wait to see your full review!
Today on my blog I shared the first line from Shades of Light by Sharon Garlough Brown but I’m currently reading My Dearest Dietrich by Amanda Barratt so I’ll share the first line from chapter 7 here: “Like a rent in fabric formerly whole, the wake of her vater’s absence yawned wide and gaping.” Hope you have a great weekend!

  6. Good luck getting the series done this month! I’m currently reading You Belong With Me by Tari Faris and am on chapter 11 so I’ll share that first line here: “She’d turned out even worse than her mother.” I hope you have a nice weekend!

  7. Happy Friday! I’m sharing from Belinda Blake and the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing by Heather Day Gilbert on my blog today, so here is another line from the first page:

“I cozied up on my blue couch, setting my warm mug of Arabica coffee on the low table in front of me.”

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Hoping to squeeze in a Sara Monson book soon.

My first line is from The Spice King by Elizabeth Camden

    May 1900 Washington D.C.
Annabelle Larkin hadn’t meant to offend the world’s leading spice tycoon with her bold request, yet it seemed she had.

  9. I NEED to read this book! My first line comes from A Reluctant Belle by Beth White — Tree limbs slapped Joelle’s face as she ran through the woods behind the bathhouse.

Hope you have a great weekend!
