It was worse than she thought.

First, that cover! Isn’t it adorable?! I 100% admit that I checked out the synopsis of this book just because the cover is so stinkin cute. But then I read the back cover and knew I had to buy this book. It sounds so good! And then there’s that first line. Doesn’t it just scream, “Read Me!”? Oh, I am so excited to read this one!

  1. Not my type of cover, actually. I think it’s funny how we each have our preferences. 🙂 I do like the first line, though. I clicked over to Goodreads and the premise sounds good so I added it to my TBR. Thanks! 🙂

  3. That first line does capture the attention of the reader. On my blog this week, I am featuring The Sheriff’s Surrender by Susan Page Davis. Since it’s my current read, I’ll share the first line of Chapter 13 here: The women showed up for shooting practice on Monday, counting Gert and Libby. Gert could barely trust her eyes.

  9. I love the cover, too! 😍 The book I shared on my blog today is You Belong With Me by Tari Faris, however the book I’m currently reading is Reunited in the Rockies by Mindy Obenhaus. I’m currently on chapter 12 so I’ll share that first line here. ” Jude could hardly wait to show Kayla the crib designs he’d sketched for her.”
