Welcome to Memorable Monday! The purpose of Memorable Monday is to showcase an influential book read in the past that still sticks with you today. This fun Monday morning post is hosted by the lovely Becca at The Becca Files.

This week, I am featuring:

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs

One of my most favorite picture books ever. I first read this book in college when I took a Children’s Literature class. Truly that was one of the BEST classes I ever took in college. I got to read kid’s lit for an entire semester! Is there a better class?! Anyway, since then, my daughter and I have read it probably 1, 847, 629 times since her birth. It’s one of her favorites too. Why do we love it so much? Because it is hilarious. And, it is a great tool to teach unreliable narrator, which really is a great way to teach about stranger danger. If you are a mom or dad looking for a really good, highly engaging, hilarious read I highly recommend The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.

  1. Hi Nicole and Bella!
This was a favorite of mine and my kids when I was homeschooling.
Another favorite was The Real Mother Goose. I recently got another copy at a garage sale for my grandkids. It has lots of poems and nursery rhymes. I like the Christina Rosetti ones.
I checked out Bella’s reviews! She is a great reviewer. I need to learn from her to be more concise. I’m glad she loves books and isn’t afraid to give them all 5 stars. I find myself doing that too!
    Have a great week.

    1. I will have to check out The Real Mother Goose. Sounds like Bella would love it.
And, thank you for the compliment. Bella is becoming a very good reader and reviewer!!! She makes my mommy-heart so happy.
I hope you have a great week too, Paula!
