His Encouragement #91

Welcome to His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday Encouragement comes from:

For today’s encouragement, I want to remind you of three of God’s many amazing characteristics.

Omnipresent — God is ALL present.

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good” (Proverbs 15:3 ESV).

Do you feel alone? Do you feel like no one sees you? God sees you. He sees your sadness and loneliness and anger and joy and happiness and moments of success and moments of failure. He’s standing right next to you. Just start talking to Him. He’s waiting for you!

Omniscient — God is ALL knowing.

“He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure” (Psalm 147:4-5 ESV).

Do you feel like you could blend in a crowd? Do you feel invisible? Unimportant? Unloved? God, the creator of EVERYTHING, is so smart and knowledgable and wise it’s beyond our comprehension. He’s so abundantly intelligent He knows every single star in the heavens and He knows their names. If He believes stars are worthy to know, He definitely knows you. Stars are not made in God’s image and likeness, but you are! Again, God’s standing right next to you waiting to begin a conversation! Turn to Him and say, “Hi!”

Omnipotent — God is ALL powerful.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God” (Mark 10:27 ESV).

Are you greatly discouraged by our world today? Does it seem too dark? Too sinful? Too violent? Do you get the feeling that maybe God has lost control, but you are afraid to admit that? To an unbeliever, our world could definitely look insane and chaotic. BUT GOD! God is omnipotent. There is NOTHING He can’t do. Everything is possible with Yahweh. True believers look at our world and know that things are not falling apart, they are falling into place. If you are struggling with control issues today, remember that God is standing right next to you waiting to talk. Nothing, not even your fears, worries, doubts, or insecurities are too big for Him.
