Becoming Us
Haven Makers #1
by: Robin Jones Gunn
About the Book
I had no problem finding Jennalyn’s house that windy night in early December. The two-story charmer stood out from the other Costa Mesa ranch-style houses on Ventura Street.
This will be my very first read of a Robin Jones Gunn novel. I am excited. I’ve read the first chapter, which flew by in nanoseconds, and I’m already taken in by the main character. Check back soon to read my review of this novel!
NOW IT IS YOUR TURN!

Happy Friday! The book I’m featuring on my blog is A Reluctant Melody by Sandra Ardoin. Here, I will share from my current read, Ramee’s Fugitive Cowboy by Elaine Manders. I’m in Chapter 16 and the first line of that chapter is, “Josh backed out of the hay strew barn.” Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Robin Jones Gunn wrote my all time favorite books: The Glenbrooke Series!!!! I have reread several of them many times! I haven’t read any of the Christy Miller series which I think this is based on, but I’m sure it’s fabulous!

I haven’t read any of hers either. Hope you enjoy!
My first line this week comes from Flight of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse, but I’m also listening to Great Expectations by Charles Dickens in audio book format at the moment, so I’m going to share the first line from Chapter 51:
What purpose I had in view when I was hot on tracing out and proving Estella’s parentage, I cannot say.
Have a great weekend!

Sorry I’m a little late coming around this weekend! The book I shared on my blog this week is Vigilant by Sara Davison but it’s also the book I’m currently reading so I’ll share the first line from my current chapter (22) here: “Daniel stared at the computer screen like he’d been doing for hours, his mind racing.” Hope you have a wonderful weekend with plenty of quality reading time! 🙂
