Instead of typing out the first lines, I’m going to show you the first set of pages:
OK, OK, so I can totally hear your confusion! You’re wondering why I would share this goofy kid’s picture book as my #FirstLineFridays book. Well, nothing screams family more to me than reading with my daughter before bed. And, since this is one of her most favorite books to read, I thought I would share the first lines.
Regardless if you are a fan of Star Wars or not, this is a hilarious picture book. It’s quite interactive, and Bella and I have loads of fun reading it together. If you have young children at home, I highly recommend adding this book to your collection.

My first lines come from Hearts In Harmony by Beth Wiseman……
I had never been to an Englisch funeral before today. I’ve only been to one funeral , when Uncle John died last year. But I’m only ten so maybe that’s why. This funeral was different from Uncle John’s. There were a lot of flowers inside the church and people singing.

We still have a couple of fun picture books featuring Star Wars characters. I’d definitely buy this if my kids were the right age!
I’m sharing the first line from Ashmore by Angela Curtis on my blog today. It’s her debut novel, and it’s based on the real-life journey her ancestors took when emigrating from England to New Zealand. It makes me thankful for our modern world where we have cleaner and faster methods of transport!
