The Stones of My Accuser
by: Tracy Groot
About the Book
Prologue
Jorah watched as Annika marked the height of the child with the flat of her hand and scored the limestone wall with her thumbnail.
I cannot wait to read this book. There are actually a few novels by Groot that I really want to read, I just need to free up my review schedule a bit first.
I had the immense pleasure of meeting Tracy Groot in Michigan when I went to Fiction Readers Summit last May. Oh my is she an amazing woman! She tells the best stories in person and is SO funny. I could have listened to her for hours and hours. Before FRS I had never heard of Mrs. Groot, I am sad to say. Now, I just want to hide away in a cave for a week or two and read all of her books. If they are half as amazing as her stories are in person, I know I am in for a real treat.
What about you?! Have you read any of Tracy’s novels before? Which one do you like best?
On my blog, I shared the first line of Alessandro D’Avenia’s “White as Silence, Red as Song,” but here I will share something from my current read, “Strange Grace” by Tessa Graton. I’m currently 25% into the story and I’m enjoying it! This is the first line of the current chapter I’m on.
“Three year ago, when Arthur was nearly fifteen, his best friend, Rhun, stopped the along the narrow deer path they’d been stalking along, and kissed him.”
Hope you’re having a great day! Enjoy the weekend ahead. 😀

From THE COST OF BETRAYAL, a set of three novellas in one by Dee Henderson, Dani Pettrey and Lynette Eason: 1)”Ann Falcon eased toward the front of the crowd.” 2)”He waited, lurking against the buoy’s cold, rusty, body, awaiting her.” 3)”’GET HIM TO SURGERY ASAP! OR NUMBER FOUR!’”

I haven’t read any of her books yet, but she’s definitely been on my wish list for a while.
I’m sharing the first line from “My Hands Came Away Red” by Lisa McKay on my blog today, but I’ve also just finished reading Lisa Harris’s new release “A Secret to Die For”:
A sharp clatter jerked Grace Callahan out of the novel she was reading.
Have a great weekend!

My First Lines come from Season of Wonder by RaeAnne Thayne…..
“This is totally lame. Why do we have to stay here and wait for you? We can walk home in, like, ten minutes.” Daniela Capelli drew in a deep breath and prayed for patience, something she seemed to be doing with increasing frequency these days when it came to her thirteen-year-old daughter. “It’s starting to snow and already almost dark.”
Have an awesome weekend and happy reading!💕📚

Thank you for sharing. My daughter isn’t 13 yet. She is only 6. But I teach 9th and 12th grade all day so I totally can relate to Daniela.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Friday! I don’t think I’ve read any of her novels – yet.
After preparing my blog post sharing first line from Shelley Shepard Gray’s Her Fear, I ended up reading the entire book. So here I’ll share the first lines for a novella I plan to read soon, Come Fly with Me by Gina Welborn and Becca Whitham:
Please, let him not be here. As Luanne Palmer climbed the stairs to the second floor, she muttered “please” after “please.”

I love when a book is so good that I intend to read a few pages in the moment, but then end up reading the whole book! That’s awesome.
Thank you for sharing! I hope you have a good weekend.

This week on my blog I shared the first line from Playing for More by Case Keenum to celebrate NFL season. (I feel the need to share that I’m a Colts fan). I am also currently reading Indivisible by Travis Thrasher so I will share the first line of that here: “She carries the memories and always will.” Hope you have a great weekend with plenty of reading time! 🙂
