About the Book

Ethan sat, utterly alone, on the wrought iron garden bench. Anyone who saw him would have wondered why he wasn’t frozen to death, or if he was instead a life-like statue. He sat without motion, and his breathing was so slow and shallow that it didn’t even make vapor puffs in the frigid air.

This is my next-up book on my TBR pile. I am a big fan of fairy tale variants, so I am looking forward to reading this little novel. Definitely check back soon for my review!

    Melanie Dickerson does such a wonderful job with her fairy tale retellings and I’ve also enjoyed Christina June’s books.

  5. I’m part way through a different fairy tale variant – Unhinged by Amanda Deed, a retelling of Beauty and the Beast (so it might just be my favourite, because of the library).

    Today I’m sharing from Formula of Deception by Carrie Stuart Parks on my blog. It’s a standalone thriller, not part of her Gwen Marcey series, and it’s set in Alaska – always a great start! I don’t have a line to share here because I’ve been editing this week, not reading, and the first line might change. I’ll be sharing it just as soon as I get permission from the author 🙂

  11. I’ve been enjoying Sarah Price’s Amish fairytale retellings. I’m featuring my newest book by a favorite author, Early Riser by Jasper Fforde. I flipped a bit forward to page 15, so I could share a line:

  12. I enjoy fairytale variants but picking a favorite isn’t very easy! I am currently a big fan of Sara Price’s Amish retellings so I might go with those.
    The book I shared this week on my blog is A Changed Agent by Tracey J Lyons. Shockingly I’m not reading a book right now because I finished one last night and was gone all day today. This won’t be a reading weekend for me but I’m enjoying a busy weekend with friends and family. Hope you have a great weekend!
