Oh my, am I LOVING this book. It is seriously intense. Might be one of the most intense books I’ve read in a while. I’m about 3/4 of the way through, but I can already highly recommend it. The characters are so well written, the plot is insanely engaging, and the research is impeccable. I’m totally emotionally involved. I want to protect Keturah and her sisters, and I want to punch the bad guys (I know this is not very Christian of me). And, the cover!!! It’s so pretty. It totally drew me in before I ever read the back cover and the Goodreads summary. If you are looking for a book to read this weekend, I would run to your nearest bookstore and purchase this book immediately!

    Savannah Charles watched the young woman wandering around her bridal shop, checking prices and looking more discouraged by the moment. Her shoulders slumped and she bit her lip when she read the tag on the wedding gown she’d selected.

  9. That first line definitely drew me in. I’m so curious about those letters. And your enthusiasm…! Well, I think I will have to look this book up and add it to my TBR list. On my blog, I’m featuring A Worthy Pursuit by Karen Witemeyer. Here, I will share a line from a book I am currently reading. The Heaven Answer Book by Billy Graham.   11. This was a great book. I liked the unique setting and Keturah is a strong female lead. Plus there’s plenty happening to keep you engaged. I’m looking forward to the next installment!

  14. Lots of books mentioned I’ve either read or have on my hope chest to read! I really haven’t read much from Lisa in a while. Ill have to check this one out!

    My first line us from Fugitive Spy by Jordyn Redwood:
    As CIA spy Casper English crossed the threshold into the abandoned home, the faint wheezes of a man teetering on death whispered just above the gusting snowstorm.

    I just finished Stars in the Grass by Ann Marie Stewart. That one is dealing with a tough subjuct but was very well written.
