Somewhere outside of London, 1826

Harpshire Village was a far cry from London in both architecture and entertainments, and the type of people who lived in the village were simple folk. The only time a member of the ton was sighted was when they stayed at the Harpshire Inn while en route from London to some vast country estate. Never to actually visit Harpshire itself.

I absolutely LOVE the cover of this book. The attitude of the young woman is awesome, and totally makes me want to read this collection of short stories! And, the stories sound like they will be quite fun and engaging. I can’t wait to get into this book!

  1. Love the title of Sarah Eden’s story! Aren’t these Timeless Romance Collections the best?

    Here’s are the first couple lines of a Love Inspired Suspense I finished recently but haven’t featured: Her head throbbed and grogginess gripped her. She rocked as if on giant waves. (from Thread of Revenge by Elizabeth Goddard.

  2. I’m looking forward to Jennifer Rodewald’s valentines novella, The Cupcake Dilemma.

    In the meantime, I’m in historical fiction lover’s heaven this week, with the first line from Jocelyn Green’s “A Refuge Assured” on my blog and the first line from Kristy Cambron’s “The Lost Castle” below:

    “Crumbling walls were rare, beautiful things.”

    I’ll leave you to ponder that thought. 🙂

    This week my FLF comes from Still Me by JoJo Moyes.

    It was the moustache that reminded me I was no longer in England: a solid, grey millipede firmly obscuring the man’s upper lip; a Village People moustache, a cowboy moustache, the miniature head of a broom that meant business.

  11. I seldom read novellas as I read too quick and I am f,finished way to soon. Occasionally, I will read one of it will add to one of my series. Today I am featuring an old favorite by Helen MacInnes. Her books were usually spy stories and suspenseful. This one is a novel that covers how words can effect your view of a situation or a person.
