When You Get to Meet an Author + A Giveaway

I’m a total nerd. Always have been, always will be. I admit it proudly. I have grown up near Hollywood, CA my entire life, and have seen many celebrities and musicians in my time. It’s cool, but it doesn’t make me turn bright red and get nervous like I do when meeting my favorite authors!

Image result for Castle TVIn our early days of courtship, my husband set up this amazing date where we went to a meet-n-greet with the cast and crew of Castle, a very popular TV show that I loved! My husband thought I would be star-struck since he knew I had a school-girl crush on Nathan Fillion ever since he played Joey on One Life to Live. Who did we spend most of our time that night talking to? Who was I gushing over? The writer and creator of the show, Andrew W. Marlowe. In fact, his signature on my Castle novel is my most cherished signature. It was one of the best dates ever!

I really love authors. To me, they are the real celebrities!!! They have genuine talent that needs to be celebrated and honored.

20180127_151314.jpgThis past Saturday, I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Susie Dietze and Tanya Stowe. I am a very big fan of Susie’s writings. I think she is a gifted storyteller, and I try to immediately read anything she writes. I was totally nervous, and I turned bright red as soon as Susie excitedly hugged me, but it was such a great opportunity meeting her. And, meeting Tanya was a true blessing. I have not yet read any of Tanya’s writings but will make sure to rectify this soon! What a blessed event! Susie, Tanya, and I talked for almost an hour. We discussed books, shared interests, our homes and families and lives. It was SO much fun. Definitely a memory I will cherish for a long time coming.

Of course, I bought a ton of books and got lots of signed copies. In the near future, I am going to do a special author-spotlight post on Tanya Stowe, and will have a giveaway for her novel, Mojave Rescue. So, make sure to look for that post coming soon!

For this post, I am going to do a special, 2-book giveaway for Susie’s novels The Reluctant Guardian (2017) and A Mother for His Family (2018). Both books are autographed copies!!! To enter the contest, click on the rafflecopter link below.
