Oath of Honor (Blue Justice #1)
by Lynette Eason
Officer Izzy St. John plopped down at the table of one of Columbia, South Carolina’s finest Chinese restaurants and opened the fast-food carton of General Tso’s chicken and white rice. The bell above the door rang and she glanced over her shoulder to see Chloe and her K-9, Hank, enter.
I love Lynette Eason novels, so I am very excited to be starting this first book in a new Eason series. So far, I am really enjoying the story. It is fast-paced and action packed just as a Romantic Suspense should be!
If you are unfamiliar with Oath of Honor, click HERE to read through the Goodreads summary and book information page.
I’ve just finished this – a great romantic suspense novel especially for fans of Dee Henderson’s O’Malley series.
I’m sharing the first line from The View from Rainshadow Bay by Colleen Coble on my blog – another great romantic suspense novel (can you see a theme?).
I’m currently reading Missing Isaac, the brilliant debut from Valerie Fraser Luesse (and not romantic suspense). Here’s the first line:
A sleepy purple twilight wrapped around the farmhouse, its tall windows glowing with warmth from somewhere inside.

I’m featuring the first line from Susan May Warren’s “Troubled Waters” on my blog today, but right now I’m deep into “A Moonbow Night” by Laura Frantz:
“What cannot be cured must be endured.”
Have a great weekend 🙂

I really enjoyed this one (and am looking forward to the rest of Lynette’s new series, as always).
I’m featuring Valerie Fraser Luesse’s “Missing Isaac” over at my blog, but the first line of the book that is currently sitting in front of is:
“It was no surprise to me that I’d lost track of time.” (from A Song of Home by Susie Finkbeiner)

So, this is what a new life looks like. Sierra Jones opened her eyes on a sunny Colorado morning to that thought.

Oh, I’m adding this to my TBR. Hoping I’ll get the chance to read this year.
I’m sharing about Until We Find Home by Cathy Gohlke on the blog today, but since it’s the closest book to me since it’s what I’m currently reading, I’ll share it here as well.
May 1940
Lightning crackled, splitting the night sky over Paris, illuminating letters painted on the bookstore window across the street: La Maison de Amis Livres. Driving rain pounded the loose shutters of Shakespeare and Company, making them rattle so that Claire Stewart dropped the heavy blackout curtain into place.
Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! Over on my blog this week, I’m featuring The Lacemaker by Laura Frantz (another amazing book!). My next book on the TBR stack just happens to be the feature book on Hoarding Books, so I won’t share an extra line in the comments this week. Have a wonderful weekend!

Another book on my list to read! Happy Friday! My first line(s) is from the Prologue in Susan May Warren’s new book Troubled Waters, which I finished last night:
“Oh, this was a bad idea. Epically, abysmally, horrendously bad.”

I don’t read many romance books so the author is unknown to me. The book sounds intriguing

I haven’t gotten to the romance part yet. It’s mostly been cop action. I like it so far.

I stopped reading romance because I don’t like to be in the bedroom. Many romance authors take you there. I want to read police procedurals. It reminds of Dell Shannon Lusia Mendoza book in the 60’s about a wealthy homicide cop from Los Angeles.

Yeah, I’m definitely not a fan of in the bedroom stuff either. If I read anything romantic at all it has to be Christian. I can handle hand holding and a kiss. No more than that though. 😊
