Good morning, and welcome to another edition of His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.
Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He, and He alone, is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Happy Thanksgiving to you today, dear readers! Today is a day we Americans celebrate being thankful. I am thankful for so much. God has blessed me with a beautiful family, a good job, a home, food in my belly, and clothes on my back. He has blessed me with excellent friends and extended family. He has blessed me SO much through my tiny, little blog and the amazing blogger friends I now have! BUT, God has most especially blessed me by being my Abba Father, my Yeshua Savior, and my Holy Spirit. He has given me His Word and wants a relationship with me (and you)! The creator of the known and unknown universes knows me (and you) by name. That is pretty amazing, and I am so thankful that He loves me (and you)!!! I am so thankful to God that I do want to give Him my whole heart today and everyday.

Many churches focus on the eucharist as the bread of communion. Others don’t think the concept of eucharist is Biblical. The word ‘eucharist’ comes from the Greek ‘eu’, meaning ‘good’, and ‘charis’, meaning ‘grace’ or ‘blessing’. The eucharist was there at the Last Supper, only it wasn’t the bread at all. It was the blessing that Messiah said over the bread. The same blessing is said in Jewish homes to this day. “Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech Ha Olam, Ha Motzee Lechem Min Ha Aretz.” It means ”Blessed are You O Lord Our God, King of the Universe, Who brings forth bread from the earth.” The truth is, the true eucharist isn’t eaten, it’s given. This one distinction is crucial, and can change your life. What makes something holy and beautiful isn’t the thing itself, but the blessing you speak over it. Give the blessing of thanks over your bread, wine, spouse, parents, children, friends, and enemies; over every situation, good or bad. Give the blessing of thanks over your life itself and your life will become holy and blessed, for such is the true eucharist.

Psalm 9:1 “I️ will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I️ will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” God has blessed me and my family greatly. And our greatest blessings aren’t the physical. They are seeing God at work in our lives, His leading in our lives, and The areas of ministry that He has allowed us to participate in.
