Thursday Encouragement

HIS Encouragement Thursday #2

Good morning, and welcome to the second edition of His Encouragement Thursday! I don’t know about you, but Thursdays are my struggle day of the week. By Thursday, I have already been working hard at school and at home, and I just wish it would hurry up and be Friday already. LOL! I definitely need a little extra Jesus time on Thursdays.

Trisha, my blogger friend at Joy of Reading, and I decided on calling this post “His Encouragement” because our real source of peace, strength, and security can only come from Jesus Christ. He, and He alone, is our constant! We pray and hope that these Thursday posts become a real encouragement to you and help you end your week strong in God’s love and purpose for you. God bless!

Today’s Thursday encouragement comes from:

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I Am with you; do not be dismayed, for I Am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

This has been an exceptionally long week for me. I have been sick for over a week and just cannot shake it no matter what I do. I have started to get really depressed because I just don’t feel well. Aches, pains, exhaustion…I just want to feel better.

This verse from Isaiah really speaks to me this week. I needed the reminder that my true source of power and healing comes from God. With Him by my side and in my heart, I have nothing to fear. No sickness can get me down!

God’s got me, and He definitely has you! Whatever you may be dealing with this week, I pray for God to grant you His strength and peace. Thank you for stopping by this week. God bless you!

Now, it’s your turn! What Biblical verse is getting you through your day today?

  1. Sorry you are feeling so yukky, Nicole! Hope you and Bella get over the flu quickly.
I’m going to start with the very first words of the Bible: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth.
Then it is echoed in John 1:1 in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
It ALL started with God! If He’s in control then I can rest in Him. He will finish what He started, if I am in Christ.
Philippians 1:6: And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
I have to remind myself constantly that God is in control and that this old world is not all there is!
    Have a blessed day!

  2. Hey Nicole! I’m so sorry you are still feeling icky. It can be tough getting over the flu, especially when you still have to work and be a busy mamma! I hope you can find some downtime to rest and take care of yourself. Praying that you feel better soon! ((hugs))
