The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey

Brighton Cliffs, England, April 1815

The honorable Clara DeLancey stood atop the chalky cliffs. Above her, heavy clouds menaced the mood, revealing then concealing the scene below. At her feel glowed the lantern borrowed for tonight’s escape, while far beneath, the English Channel churned white and deadly. Wind whipped clothes around her body, tugging at her, like the despair that had tugged for months, begging release.

The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey is the third and final book in Carolyn Miller’s Regency Brides: A Legacy of Grace series. It is due out for release on October 24, 2017. I highly recommend the books in this series. Carolyn Miller is a fantastic writer, and her stories are SO good. Her characters are so well written and her plot lines are wonderfully engaging, If you have not heard of Carolyn Miller before, check out her GoodReads author page.   8. Sounds interesting. I’ll have to check this author out. The book I’m featuring on my blog is Perfectly Matched by Maggie Brendan. However, the book I will share here is Fire and Ice by Mary Connealy. “The bullet spit dirt up in Gage Coulter’s eyes, and he didn’t even flinch.”

  9. Just finished The Captivating Lady Charlotte by guess who? Carolyn Miller! Number two in this Regency series!

    The room glimmered with a thousand points of sparkling light, the bright glow from the enormous crystals-dropped chandelier glinting off heavily beaded gowns, ornate mirrors, and the desperation shining in dozens of pairs of eyes.

    I’m reading The Engagement Plot by Krista Phillips. Here’s the first line:

    Hanna Knight clicked the Power button on the radio as she inched the Dodge Ram pickup down the snow-covered highway. Embarrass, Minnesota, was only a few miles farther.

    Okay, so I had to include that second sentence because Embarrass as a place name? That’s even weirder than Iola (Iola, Wisconsin, and Iola, Kansas. I’ll have to visit one day).
