These Healing Hills

Francine Howard stepped off the bus into another world. She should have been prepared. She’d studied the Frontier Nursing information until she almost knew it by heart. That should have given her a glimpse into this place.
I am about half way finished with this novel, and so far I am really enjoying this story about a Frontier Nurse and a newly returned-to-home WWII soldier. This is my first Gabhart novel, but it will definitely not be my last! If you have not heard of this book, click here for a Goodreads summary.
Now it is your turn! Grab the book you are currently reading, open to chapter one, and post the first sentence (or second sentence) in the comments below.

I’m featuring the first line from Melissa Tagg’s “All This Time” on my blog this week. I can’t believe the Walker Family series is finished! 😭 But here, I’m going to share the first line from Chapter 1 of Toni Shiloh’s new release, Returning Home:

Have a great weekend!

I like the dog on the cover of your FLF book selection. 🙂 I’m sharing the first line from Rachel Hauck’s Once Upon a Prince today. “What did he say? The storm gusts moving over the Atlantic must have garbled his words. ‘I can’t marry you.'”

Happy Friday! My first line is from Magnolia Storms by Janet Ferguson:
“Fear and loss snaked around Magnolia Marovich’s heart like they always did when she studied the satellite images on the three computer screens in front of her. Not again.”

My first line is : from an Inconvenient Beauty by Kristi Ann Hunter.
The line between boy and man was never murkier than when a father died too soo. Leaving his son to walk through the foibles of youth while shouldering the responsibilities of adulthood.
Loved Ann’s book! Glad you are enjoying it! Hope life cooperates more this week! Blessings! I haven’t read Jan Karon either , too many choices! Ugh!
