Then There Was You
“Paige McAllister didn’t think it was possible, but there was something worse than being single and thirty at your nineteen-year-old sister’s wedding.”
Love this first sentence! What a great set-up; now I need to know what is worse than being 30 at your 19-year old sister’s wedding! This is my very first Kara Isaac novel to read. I have heard really amazing things about this book and can’t wait to dive right in. If you have not hear of this book before, click here for the Goodreads blurb.
Update: I finished the novel. It is SO good. Check out my review by clicking HERE.
Now it is your turn! Grab the book you are currently reading, open to chapter one, and post the first sentence (or second sentence) in the comments below.

Happy Friday!
My first line is from The Spinster & the Cowboy by Lena Nelson Dooley:
“When the sharp rap on his closed office door roused him, Joshua Dillinger raised his gaze from the legal document he had been studying with intense concentration.”

This is on my TBR! The cover is cute. That first line is intriguing. I must know what is worse than being thirty and single at your nineteen-year-old sister’s wedding.
I’m sharing about Three Wishes by Lisa T. Bergren over on my blog today, but I’m currently reading the sequel, Four Winds, so I’ll share that here. 🙂
“Javier laughed and shook his head as we reached the top of the sand dune, Centinela loping in a wide circle around us. “I do not know if I can court a girl from the future and have a pet wolf,” he said in Spanish. “That is a lot to ask of one man.”

“Right… right here.” Peter came to a halt between two massive trees where the undergrowth provided a good screen for anyone hiding.
A Name Unknown by Roseanna White.
I need to find more time to read!

It might be one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. And the emotional parts were real and genuine. You will love this book Paula!
